HONGKONG TOUR TIPS CONTINUES

Hello Friends... I'm here again for more tips of visiting Hongkong..

Here, are some questions, asked by A Friend, and perhaps these can also be your questions when you plan a Tour to Hongkong.

TRANSPORTATION & FARES

How do I move around Hongkong?

There are lots of transportation in Hongkong, Mass Transit Railway known as MTR, is the fastest and most convenient, Big Buses, Mini Buses, TRAMS and of course Taxis..TRAMWAYS the cheapest one, 2.3HKD fare, but is the slowest.. TRAMS are just best for sightseeing around the city, and it's only available around Hongkong Island..

Day 1: From the Airport to the Hotel

From the airport, there are lots of options, if you take the Airport Express Trains towards Hongkong Island, it will only take 24 minutes travel, and will cost you 100 HKD. Expensive but fast.

Bus has lower fares, with your 40 HKD you can be Hongkong Island 1 hour and 30 mins.

Assuming you choose the Airport Express Trains, so you already spent 100 HKD for your first day, then after checking in to your hotel, and you want to familiarize the place, or go shopping lets say 50 HKD, as your additional fare expenses..Total for the first day fare is 150 HKD.

Day 2: Hongkong Disneyland

Well, your day 2 is Hongkong Disneyland, it depends the location of your hotel, if it's near to MTR station or not. Let's just say, you still need to ride a mini bus, towards the MTR Station, you need at least 5 HKD fare towards Hongkong Station.

From Hongkong Station, you need to take the Tung Chung Line Trains towards`Sunny Bay Station, where it costs 17.9 HKD and takes 30 minutes travel.

Then, from Sunny Bay, you will take the Disneyland Resort Line, which costs 5.9 HKD, and takes 6 minutes ride.

Two way fares, for Hongkong Disneyland, is 57.6 HKD.

Additional info, Hongkong Disneyland entrance fee for adult is 399 HKD, and 299 HKD for kids.. From your Entrance Fee you can avail all the Rides and Shows inside Hongkong Disneyland.

Day 3: Ocean Park

Ocean Park is your next destination. You can ride directly from Central, or you want to go to Admiralty for the direct bus towards Ocean Park, and the fare only costs 10.6 HKD, one way. So, two way is 21.2 HKD.

By the Way, entrance fee for adult at Ocean Park is 290HKD, and 190HKD for kids.

Here are some Bus Numbers going to Ocean Park:

Day 4: Shopping Day

Well, I can't give exact amount for fares, but I can give you an estimate of around 100 HKD each for your  whole day shopping fare.. With your 100 HKD you can already go to different shopping places in Hongkong.

More or less $35 US, or 250 HKD is enough for your transportation expenses

And I really advice you to get an Octopus Card, for your convenience and avail some discounts for your MTR fares, using Octopus Card..

Here, I attached a photo of the Octopus Scanner Machine and the Octopus Card itself for you...

This is the Octopus Card, all you need to do is swipe this card to the Octopus Scanner Machine below..
And this is the the Octopus Scanner Machine, Once you swipe your Octopus Card here, your fare, or any amount due to pay will be deducted right away from your current Octopus balance..

Friends, this is just an estimate, not really the exact amount because I don't know where you want to go. I just give you an idea, how much will you spend for your Transportation in going around Hongkong.

This is all for now Friends, I hope this blog would help you in your future travel to Hongkong.
